MS Dhoni makes himself Unavailable for 2 months which includes unavailability from WI tour.Indian Cricket Team will travel west indies for a long tour which includes 3 T20Is,3 ODIs and 2 Tests.As per the latest cricket news , MS Dhoni will serve Indian army in these 2 months as Lt. Colonel in the Regiment.

There are many speculation made by cricket experts and news channels that MS Dhoni will retire after the world cup 2019 but this news comes as big relief for his fans.

But many experts arise questions about this decision that why Dhoni needs to take rest before an important tour ?

  • As we all know that Dhoni is Lieutenant colonel in Indian Army.Army. The Indian army conferred this Honorary rank to Dhoni on Nov 1st ,2011 after winning the world cup for India. Dhoni had a commitment that he will complete training with parachute regiment but it took a backseat because of his cricketing commitments. now as cricket world cup 2019 gets over then he requested the regiment to complete his training which is further accepted by the regiment.



  • The speculation of his retirement from cricket was also increased after India lost from New Zealand in the world cup.He stopped all the rumors and speculations of his retirements with this news as he believes that he is enough fit to play for some more times.

  • One of the biggest reason behind this decision is to give the opportunities to young wicket-keepers like Rishabh Pant  to play as full time keeper in Indian cricket team.selectors also said that MS will not further be an Automatic pick.
